Leslye Murphy
serves as vice president of Cancer Support Foundation, Inc.
Les, and I were next door neighbors growing up and have
been friends since childhood. She grew up in Montgomery
County, married, had her children, took care of her parents
and did everything that a good wife, mother and daughter
should do.
Les was at a time of life when she thought, "Now I can
relax and enjoy the fruits of my hard work". Then she had
life’s biggest reality check when she was diagnosed with
breast cancer. She did the full nine yards of treatment and
endured the full nine yards of side effects from those
treatments. Les is a fighter, survivor and the perfect
person to join the foundation in 2008. Now she is taking on
a very important position.
We are honored that this lifelong resident of Montgomery
County has become our Spa Day Event coordinator for
Montgomery County. Now we are back working together again,
not with childhood antics but in life’s biggest game. The
game of survival and helping others get through life’s
reality check. The Spa Day Events raise money to help
anyone undergoing cancer treatment with quality of life and
financial resources.
